Studying at TUM and Landing Your First Job
If you're a first-generation student or someone who feels like they’re navigating the world without a map, this guide is for you.
When I first arrived at the Technical University of Munich (TUM), I didn’t have the roadmap, mentors, or connections that many others had. I was a first-gen, non-EU student from Albania, figuring everything out on my own, from applying to scholarships and managing finances to landing my first full-time role.
But I figured it out, and now I’m here to help you do the same. This ebook is the culmination of everything I’ve learned over five years of studying, exploring, failing, and succeeding. I joined the prestigious CDTM program, conducted research at Stanford University, secured €25,000 in scholarships, and started my career at Deloitte.
Whether you're starting your academic journey at TUM or preparing for your first job search, this book will help you get clear, stay confident, and take the next steps with purpose.
